People around the world are now creating their youtube channels and trying their luck as if they could become successful youtubers. But most of them end up with a very low number of views and subscribers. Why are they unable to get subscibers and views? Let me tell you in detail.
Youtube has grown so big now that it itself act as a search engine now. Theres a whole data bank of youtube that is increasing by every single day and when we post a video on Youtube, it gets lost in that huge number of videos.
Below are some of the Key Points that are a must to rank your videos well and become a successful Youtuber.
1) Content:
The first and the most important factor that has the biggest share among all of the factors is "Content". You must not produce content that you like, instead produce content that is liked and wanted by the viewers. Choose a trending topic, observe who are the biggest youtubers in that respective area, Now start creating content.While creating video, you can edit it with the help of available video editing softwares. A lot of softwares are now available on Windows as well as Android. Use them, add animation and effects, moveable texts and animations to remind your viewers in the middle of the video to Subscribe your channel.
2) Keyword Research:
It is the second most important factor of youtube success. As you have identified the trending topic. Observe what would be the main keyword of that topic. For Ex: COD Mobile. COD Mobile is a main keyword that gives you idea of what you are dealing with.
There are several tools available on google including Google's own, Keyword planner tool and so many other paid third party tools that allows you to research and identify potential keywords. Identify keywords that have "High Demand, Low Competition" and make a list of them. Identify problem specific keywords that target a problem like "How to play COD Mobile on PC?" This will help those people land on your video page who are seeking a solution to the widely searched problem.
Another way to identify keywords is to write the main keyword in Youtube Search Bar. Once you have written the main keyword. Let the search recommendations load. You will see a long list of mostly searched queries.
Identify your relative query and write it in keyword research tools and also youtube search bar and it will show you more related queries.
Note them down, make a list!
3) Thumbnail:
Thumbnail is a very tricky part of the video. This is shown to the incoming potential subscribers and viewers. Make it look appealing and it must have a touch of suspense in it so the viewer is compelled to watch your video. Remember, do not lie in thumbnail because this is an unethical practice and you will end up being reported, disliked by your viewers.
Use websites like "www.canva.com" if you are unable to use adobe photoshop for any reason and create your required sized thumbnails.
4) Title, Description and Tags:
Title is what people will type and find your video with, Always make sure your title carries those hot top of the list keywords that are trending, have high demand and low competition, use one main keyword as well like "COD Mobile". You have 100 letters length in title so wisely use this length and your title should be around 70 letters ideally.
Description is also very important as it also helps in getting the video searched. Use your list of keywords smartly in the content. In content, keep the suspense alive and do not explain the whole video but give them a glimpse of what you are upto, and sandwich all the hot keywords in description.
Hashtags are like a separate page where activity from all those accounts are listed who use them. For Ex: #PUBG, #Minecraft #COD Mobile are hashtags where content of all those profiles will be shown who use them in video description.
The same method of research applies for Hashtag research. See the list and use one main hashtag, and the rest of the tags according to their ranking in the list. Youtube will show the top 3 on top of video title
Tags are placed in a separate box with a capacity of 500 words. In that box write down your list of keywords and try to cover the 500 letters. These tags will direct potential viewer to your video whenever he types one of the mentioned tags in his/her search bar and will land on your video.
5) Cards & End Screen:
Cards are small popups on the top right side of the video frame which can be used to direct viewer towards another video in your playlist. This increases a chance of viewership of the other video. Use cards and mention any of your video. If you are uploading first video then leave it.
End Screen is very important. It is a tool that allows you to add a graphics animation in the end of the video which can be used to direct the viewers towards another video, and your page subscription card. This increases the chances of page subscription and viewership
6) Cross Posting:
Once you have gone through all the video uploading steps. Now once you have published it, share its link on all the possible social medias, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest, Whatsapp, Instagram etc. This generates a natural lead of viewers and subscribers towards your video.
Create a blog about your youtube page and cross post about your blog and youtube channel on both platforms.
7) Paid Promotion:
This is optional, if you can spend a budget on youtube promotion then with the help of google ads you can run a campaign of your Youtube channel and can see a number of people landing on your page and subscribing your channel. But if you are not in mood to spend money, then use all the mentioned factors well and still you will see growth overtime.

Remember, be realistic. Its not magic that will bring you 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours overnight. Be patient, create content frequently, use social media for cross posting and marketing, communicate with your audience. Try to engage them as much as possible. If possible you can offer a giveaway for a lucky subscriber.
